Shopping
Shopping in Blackpool is a mix of traditional seaside shops, novelty shops, market stalls and the largest collection of pound shops probably ever seen in the UK. The Blackpool town center has a comprehensive shopping high street with all the major UK names to be found, plus a newly refurbished indoor shopping center called "Hounds Hill". You are never very far from the local shops, markets and gift shops selling something for just about everyone.
Fortune tellers sit scattered along the promenade which is also full of gift shops, markets and arcades, including the famous Coral Island arcade prominently located on Blackpool's Golden Mile. One of Europe's largest arcades with games, rides, bingo and slot machines to keep all happy 365 days of the year. Nearby are also other quaint smaller seaside towns that are accessible via the main tram system that runs along the Blackpool's promenade.
Places like the smaller town of Cleveleys, Bispham, St-Annes and Fleetwood. All unique in character and all have a style all of there own. The Blackpool trams, buses and taxis are all very frequent meaning that the car is not the main form of transport in Blackpool. Listed below is further information on shopping and local areas:
